ANNA FURLONG (Salon Owner)
Anna started her hairdressing apprenticeship in 1980, Under the tuition of her Uncle Seamus Furlong. After 8 years in the salon Anna left New Ross and went to the UK for 2 years working as a Wella Technician in the academy and also in salons. With a broader experience Anna returned to her home town in New Ross to her loyal clients and took the reins of the salon where it has grew from strength to strength.
Anna has always been focused on maintaining the high standard of hairdressing that she was trained in and continues to attend courses keeping up to the date with the forever changing trends in the hair industry.
Due to the demand locally Anna was introduced into Wig Fitting and has a private room away from the salon where she can have a more intimate consultation with someone who is living with Alopecia or someone going through chemotherapy.
In 2012 Anna returned to work alongside Wella Ireland with the launch of the products “NIOXIN”
Anna is now a Nioxin consultant, which involves travelling around Ireland educating salons about the products and its benefits
(a system that works supporting fine and thinning hair)
In her spare time Anna loves going to the theatre as for many years she was on the other side of the stage in producing many shows with the New Ross Pantomime Society.
Anna’s hobbies are walking, reading and spending quality time with her son Michael.
Anna is still as passionate about hairdressing as the day she started and enjoys the combination of Salon work, Wig Fitting and Freelance Educating.
Started with us in 2003. Deborah started training in the salon as a colourist, she then trained in Sp products before moving on to train in the business side of the salon and Deborah is now the main receptionist as well as managing the administration of the salon including product sourcing, training and development for staff outside of the salon, stock, finance and payroll.
She is one of the administrators for The Rapunzel Foundation and is very passionate about the charity
Deborah loves the meeting and greeting side of her job. Outside of the salon Deborah loves reading, walking, pilates and spending time with her beautiful daughter Sophie, Son Alexander and Fiancé, She is very busy outside the salon planning her big day in 2018.
Started with us in 2005, having completed a City & Guilds two year Diploma course in hairdressing, Emma has completed her masters in colour with wella we are delighted to have a MCE (master colour expert) in our salon, Emma specialises in colour and cutting and regularly undertakes colour and cutting courses with the Wella Academy. Emma has attended several upstyling seminars and demonstrations with international upstyling guru Patrick Cameron. Emma is a Nioxin Thinning specialist and talks to clients about hair thinning issues as well as recommendations for managing their hair.Keratin Therapy certified,.
Emma represented Ireland as a Global Ambassador in the Wella-UNICEF making waves programme 2014 in Romania. Emma is senior web administrator for The Rapunzel Foundation. In 2015 Emma made it to the Dublin Final of Wella Trend Vision where she was placed in the top 20 in Ireland for Color and Cut.
In January 2016 Emma became A Nioxin Consultant which specialises in thinning hair and hair loss, this involves traveling across Ireland educating salons and stylists in the benefits of Nioxin, also co hosting courses in the Wella Studio Dublin.
Emma loves walking her dogs and regular excercise as well as helping out with charity walks in New Ross. Emma also manages the salon social media activity.She is a self confessed shopaholic!
Sandra started out as a beautician before starting with the salon in 2007. Sandra is now a qualified stylist and has completed additional courses in colour, highlighting and cutting. Sandra is joint trainer in the salon along with Tara.Sandra is also a Nioxin Thinning specialist, talking to clients about hair thinning issues as well as recommendations for managing their hair. Sandra has attended several upstyling seminars and demonstrations with international upstyling guru Patrick Cameron.
Sandra has just began her Masters in Colour and is in the process of becoming a Careologist which will be completed in 8 months.
Sandra likes hair, beauty and art. Sandra has a beautiful daughter and enjoys the balance of working and home life.
Tara completed her training in the salon, but had the experience of a life time working in Australia for 1 year as a senior stylist and gained lots of International salon experience there. Tara is currently joint educator in the salon along with Sandra.
Tara is in the middle of her Masters in Colour and is loving the science behind the beauty that is hair colour.
Laura started her hairdressing career in Ballyhale School of Hairdressing in 2008 and joined Anna Furlong’s salon team in 2010 where she completed a Foundation and Corrective Colour Course.Keratin therapy certified.
Recently Laura attended a classic barbering course keeping up with the forever changing demands of our male clients.
Laura loves all aspects of salon life especilaly Bridal hair both in the salon or in the comfort of the brides home.
Laura likes her weekly classes of Kangoo, walking and loves hair and make-up.
MAIREAD O BRIEN
Before mairead started with us she completed a 2 year Fetac City and Guilds hairdressing and barbering course in Eniscorthy VEC 2013-2015.
Mairead started with us in July 2016 and is currently enjoying all aspects of blowdrying and colouring challenges as she continues her training on a weekly basis in the salon. Mairead is amazing a shampooing you really need to call in for her famous technique!!
In her spare time she loves running with her local ferns club, aswell as walking her dogs and socialising.
Nuala mostly works behind the scenes in the salon managing the accounts of the salon, she has over 22 years experience as she previously worked in Lake Region Medical. Nuala is a mother to 2 beautiful boys and enjoys walking and going to the cinema in her spare time.
